This assignment was a introduction to using Unreal Engine 4. This was my first time using UE, I had to import/export assets in and out Maya/UE4. I built two cubes in Maya to import into UE. Also created material instances and set them up so that it can be applied to the cubes.
Here is the two cubes and the mannequin for scale.
Here is the finished look of the cube with grid scale set up.
Here is the look of the material instance set up once transferred into UE4. This was the hardest/trickiest part to understand.
This is the results of those material instances.
This is result of what I built... I wanted to use simple shapes to build a small nightclub.
I wanted a slightly darker moody atmosphere with reflections and playful lightning. It was my first time doing something like this and now I can see the potential that UE4 has.

First 2D assignment (Week 1)
For the first 2D assignment the objective was to pick an artwork from Syd Mead and replicate it using simple shapes and slightly refine it with using value.
This is the artwork/ image I chose.
This was a learning curve for me because I never used the Wacom tablet before and it was very challenging to do any clean line work... here I was focused on figuring out the composition and structuring the objects using lines and breaking them down into simple shapes.
Here I decided to take it little further using color that was close to the image but only just using it as a reference to use for value and modeling the object. I stopped here where I ran out of time but it still captured an overall concept phase of the image.
